Green Imaging: Cash-Pay MRI Pricing, Explained

Green Imaging is a physician-owned, cash-pay medical imaging network founded in 2011 by radiologist Dr. Cristin Dickerson. It covers all 50 US states through 4,500+ partner imaging facilities, and quotes one bundled price per scan: facility and radiologist read included, paid upfront, no bill afterwards.

Provider details retrieved from greenimaging.net, 3 August 2026.

How Green Imaging's pricing works

Unlike the imaging centres and hospital departments on our US cash-price pages, Green Imaging does not publish a public rate card. Prices are quoted per procedure and per location: you send your physician's order and ZIP code, and the concierge team returns an all-in bundled price for partner facilities near you. Their published commitments, from their own site:

  • The cash-pay price quoted is the final price you pay
  • No extra charge for the radiologist fee, the read is included
  • Paid upfront, no surprise bill after the scan
  • Board-certified radiologists read or maintain medical oversight of every exam

Verification in progress

We publish specific provider figures only after the provider's own team has checked them. Green Imaging's representative pricing will appear here once confirmed, and will carry our standard "confirmed with provider" note, which is theirs to give, withhold, or withdraw at any time. It covers factual accuracy only; the analysis on this site stays ours. Until then, use our independent US cash-price ranges ($400–$2,000 at freestanding imaging centres for most single body parts) as context for any quote.

How booking works

  1. Get a copy of your doctor's imaging order (any doctor can issue one)
  2. Text or fax it to Green Imaging with your name and ZIP code, and get your bundled quote
  3. Pay upfront and receive a voucher for your appointment
  4. At the facility, show the voucher, not an insurance card, and pay nothing on the day
  5. A radiologist reads the exam and reports to your doctor, typically 2 days to 1 week

Who the model fits

The bundled cash-pay model is aimed at uninsured and high-deductible patients, the same readers our without-insurance and with-insurance guides serve. Green Imaging also works with employer health plans and direct primary care physicians. If your deductible is higher than a bundled cash price, cash-pay can beat the insurance route even when you are insured, do that comparison before booking anywhere, including here.

Green Imaging: quick answers

Not as a public rate card. Green Imaging quotes a bundled cash price per procedure and location: you send your physician's imaging order with your ZIP code, and their concierge team quotes the all-in price for facilities near you. Per their site, the cash-pay price quoted is the final price, with the radiologist fee included and no bill afterwards.
